I went
from being a practicing musician, to television production and editing,
to hosting my own radio
shows. I produced and hosted a "Swing Era – Big Band"
show on KPCC, a National Public Radio affiliate in Pasadena, California.
I spent several years “on the air” at KTHX 100.1 FM,
in Reno, Nevada. My shows included Blues, Jazz, Rock, Soul, Pop
and much more. I had the highest (Arbitron*) ratings for my time
slot in the 9-year history of the radio station. I was a Disc Jockey
at KRLT 93.9, in South Lake Tahoe, California playing “Top 40” and “Classic
Rock”. More recently I recorded a Christmas Special for KTKE 101.5 FM, in Truckee, California. No one, except perhaps a “musicologist” can
offer more variety and knowledge of recorded music.
I have interviewed and introduced many famous artists and acted as MC for
concerts and fundraisers. I am at home in front of
50 or 5,000. Since 2000 I have devoted myself to providing the best Lake Tahoe
DJ Service possible.
The latest addition to my resume is as a published writer. You can find my review of Sonia Dada's new CD/DVD, called Test Pattern at http://www.triplearadio.com. You may also find my review of Stephen Still's "Man Alive". I do recommend listening to both.
In addition to my music interests, I'm an avid skier and PSIA Certified Instructor, mountain
biker, guitarist, photographer and videographer. I am a permanent resident of South Lake Tahoe California. You might catch me (for a second or two) in the film "Smokin' Aces".
